At the conference there were present high guests, the Minister of Science, Education and Sports, Dragan Primorac; the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, Petar Čobanković and guests of honor, Predrag Mijatović, Rade Šerbedžija and Igor Štimac. THE COMPETITOR’S SUCCESSES OF THE 2nd SHIFT OF THE FINALS: Published: 07/08/2008 |Press novost; Applicants of the 2nd shift of the final competitions; Split- August, 7th 2008 (Thursday) – at the second final shift of the finals of the Bistra Youth Sports Games organized from August 4 to 7, 450 of children and youth from all over the Croatia have participated. The winners were wanted in the handball (born 1990 and younger, both male and female competition), the tennis, the beach volleyball and for the first time this year in the indoor soccer female competition. The cups and medals for the best handball players and the best indoor soccer female players were awarded by the players of the Croatian Soccer Team Hajduk Drago Gabrić and Tomislav Bušić, and for the best volleyball players by Vladimir Balić, the goalkeeper of the Hajduk. In this way we successfully ended another sports event that lasted for four days, and another one is expecting us already next week.; read more

THE 2nd SHIFT OF THE FINALS- 450 OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH ARRIVED AT SPLIT: Published: 04/08/2008 |Press novost; On the beach Bačvice in Split; At the 2nd final shift of the finals of the 12th Bistra Youth Sports Games 450 of young applicants have arrived in Split. Some of them came by rail; others by bus, but everyone was jolly with faith in success at the competitions and willing to have good company and fun. The best possible way of completing this experience and also the easier way of bearing tropical heat was going to Bačvice. Since it’s the most popular beach in Split, going there was just unavoidable. That day it was pretty crowded and the place more on the beach was the most wanted thing there. As well as the absolute must was to get a lovely suntan and to play some match of the traditional sea game called picigin.; read more

THE WINNERS OF THE FIRST SHIFT ARE KNOWN: Published: 31/07/2008 |Press novost; he Volleyball players from Dubrovnik – the joy of victory; The first of the four final shifts of Bistra Youth Sports Games was finished with the ceremony of the presentation of the medals for the best competitors. From the July 28 to 31, strengths had measured 480 of the children and the young from all parts of Croatia. The winners were wanted in the indoor soccer (boys born 1990 and younger), the volleyball male competition (boys born 1990 and younger), the volleyball female competition (girls born 1990 and younger and girls born 1993 and younger) and the table tennis (all categories). The young sportswomen and sportsmen, in the manner as if they were true professionals, played at many sports fields and halls in Split.
