novostihe Volleyball players from Dubrovnik – the joy of victory

The first of the four final shifts of Bistra Youth Sports Games was finished with the ceremony of the presentation of the medals for the best competitors. From the July 28 to 31, strengths had measured 480 of the children and the young from all parts of Croatia. The winners were wanted in the indoor soccer (boys born 1990 and younger), the volleyball male competition (boys born 1990 and younger), the volleyball female competition (girls born 1990 and younger and girls born 1993 and younger) and the table tennis (all categories).

The young sportswomen and sportsmen, in the manner as if they were true professionals, played at many sports fields and halls in Split. The finals in all sports disciplines were after the two days’ playing.

The most exciting event was the Indoor Soccer Tournament that traditionally attracts the largest number of participants, so this year eight teams took part in the male competition born 1990 and younger. Great atmosphere and stand cheering from the very beginning were additional motive for the players at the field. It was the fight for every ball with lots of attractive moves and goals. The winner of the first shift for the second year in row is the team SIMPA BILI from Split that outplayed the team HORSE CITY from Konjščina (Krapina and Zagorje County) in the final match and so managed to defend the title. The third place won the team B3 from Samobor that outplayed the team MARKET TOMI from Osijek. Also the best players at the field were chosen, the ones which marked with their play the finals. So besides the Winning Cup and golden medals, the winning team won even respective awards. The best player of the first shift is Stjepan Perišić and the top scorer of the finals Nikola Pavić with his seven achieved scores.

The former player of the Soccer Team Hajduk and the member of the Croatian National Soccer Team Ardijan Kozniku awarded the medals for the best, young soccer players. The excitement wasn’t missing even at the volleyball part of the contest where in the male and female competition participated even 27 teams. All together there were over 324 volleyball players.

The winners of the first shift in the category born 1990 and younger are the girls from the team CESTORAD from Vinkovci, while the best player is Bernarda Brčić from the team ŽOK Drenova from Rijeka.  In the female competition, girls born 1993 and younger, the winning team is ŽOK DUBROVNIK from Dubrovnik, while Sanja Curić won the respective prize for the best player. In the male competition, boys born 1990 and younger, the winning team is AQUA BALIS from Daruvar, as well as the best player Marko Kopčija.
The member of the Croatian National Volleyball Team Igor Omrčen awarded the medals for the best, young volleyball players.

At the Table Tennis Tournament: in the female competition of girls born 1997 and younger the winner is Lucija Mamić from Sv. Nedjelja; in the competition of girls born 1993 and younger the winner is Nadana Gavranić from Split; and in the competition of girls born 1990 and younger Martina Brglez from Sv. Nedjelja. In the male competition of boys born 1997 and younger the winner is Josip Mustapić from Split; in the competition of boys born 1993 and younger the winner is Valentino Saršon from Rijeka; and in the competition of boys born 1990 and younger the winner is Davor Ivković from Petrinja. The writer, reporter and enigmatic Robert Pauletić, famous as the winner of the quiz “Kviskoteka”, awarded the medals for the winners.

And the whole event was accompanied with the match companionship, the tours through the city, the presentation of the medals and appropriate party.
Entertaining program was organized for all the participants of the finals at the summer terrace of the Split Cove Kašjuni. We had vivid and divertingly time since the Miss and the Mister of the first final were elected. The title of the prettiest sportswoman took Nikolina Kojčin from Zagreb and the prettiest sportsman Krešimir Grubišić from Šibenik, both the volleyball players.
Everything was spiced with good music, dancing and singing, so even the youngest participant of the finals, ten years old Mihaela Brodar from Varaždin (the table tennis competitor), enjoyed her staying.

But four days passed fast and some of the participants went back home with the medals and some of them without, but for sure all participants returned to their homes with beautiful memories on sports competitions, companionship and the city of Split.
