STARS INTERNATIONAL DAYS OF INA YOUTH SPORTS GAMES
Forth week of INA Youth Sports Games is always dedicated for children and young people from the region. Stars International days gather the children to socialize through sports. This year Split has hosted around 300 children from Macedonia, Hungary, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. They have played in 10 sports: soccer, streetball, beach volleyball, volleyball, handball, tennis, ping - pong, badminton, chess, and dodgeball.
Besides sports, children enjoyed spending time at beaches and meeting new friends from different country. Also, they had opportunity to learn about the history of Split and see other Croatian towns such as Dubrovnik and Trogir.
Participants from other countries were coming at the invitation of
the organizer. For now, organizers give priority to children and
young people of lower economic status and students who have
achieved good academic results. In the long term, the project with
aim of internationalization is a positive step forward of Croatia
efforts to join the European Union. It is shows our willingness to
turn to the future whose potential lies in the young people of new
and modern Europe.
We hope that all of the guest countries one day will be the host of this great sports event - and then it would not be only the most beautiful sport story in Croatia but also in Europe.
